The Story of Legacy Tack

Legacy Tack was established in 2004 to continue operations at the former location of VTO Saddlery. VTO came here to Hearne, Texas in 2000 with their internet tack business and opened up a retail shop, mainly as a place to store the growing amounts of inventory they were selling online. Before they came here, no one would have ever thought that an English tack store would make it in the small town of Hearne. But, much to everyone's amazement, and driven by the support of their internet customers, their small operation soon grew to 14,000 square feet of tack heaven, and people came from miles around to shop at their store. VTO has recently relocated their business back to theirs roots in Virginia, but they established a tradition in this area of "Quality Tack at Outlet Prices", and, led by a former VTO employee, we are now living out their legacy here.

We hope to be able to continue to provide outstanding quality, superior service, and unbeatable prices to both the equstrian fanatics in this area who had come to depend on VTO's prescense here, and to all of you internet shoppers out there who are looking for the best deals on everything you need to support your equine habit.

While the store here has been scaled down a little since VTO's departure, we are hoping to grow it quickly back to its former size. In the mean time, we are always willing to take special orders! If you are looking for something that you don't see on our website, please let us know and we will do our best to find it for you and get it in as quickly as possible!
